In the Opening Party that
took place on Monday 21st January 2008 at the Athens Imperial Hotel, everyone celebrated
the inauguration of the new Public Art Event Hearts in Athens.
Fibreglass, metal, and wooden hearts are
already beautifying the streets of Athens, several Metro stations and shopping
arcades...And for the next two months they will be adding up colour to our daily life.
They will make us dream, smile, and fall in love…
The Mayor of Athens, Nikolas Kaklamanis, was
there to inaugurate the event. The representatives of Hearts in Athens, Takis Meletis and
Nikolas Benopoulos, thanked the artists, the two Grand Sponsors (VIVARTIA Nutrition and
Food, and the Diagnostic and Therapeutic Center of Athens HYGEIA), as well as all of the
sponsors for their support. |
