Hearts in the World is a new International Public Art Exhibition, created by Goldair Events.

Hearts in the World aims at embellishing the public spaces of cities around the world, by placing large multicoloured works of Art on Heart shaped sculptures painted by artists. It is about offering to the artist community a chance to create original and unique art works on a universally recognizable symbol a large heart, as an Art canvas.

The Hearts in the World public art event is designed to include as many associations and individuals as possible and, with the support of the host city’s public and private sectors, can form a significant and important event in a city’s annual programme of events. Moreover, it makes a considerable economic, social and cultural contribution to each city and it becomes an attraction which not only drives tourism but also provides a unique opportunity for local people to enjoy their city with fresh eyes. Furthermore, it ultimately benefits charity. At the conclusion of each event, the sculptures are auctioned, with a significant percentage of the proceeds being donated to local charities.

Hearts is a symbol we all recognize, refers to feelings and is always associated with special moments in everyone’s lives. It has no cultural or religious boundaries and has the same connotation in every part of our planet.

The Hearts are to be exposed in pre-selected, busy parts of the world’s cities.

Hearts in the World proudly introduces the first International Art Event, inaugurated with Hearts in Athens 2008, where painters, sculptors, graffiti artists, designers and other aspiring creators have submitted their Heart design (Pop, Graffiti, Abstract or Landscape art etc.), a number of which were selected by the sponsors and thus were materialized, and are displayed in the Official Catalogue of Hearts in Athens 08.
