Maria Alexandrakis-Vitsaksakis was born in Crete. She studied painting and has dedicated herself to painting and writing.

The silver "fashion" heart is covered with black patterns, which look like the finished surface of a jewel or a stylish piece of clothing. "Many times, when I feel sorrow", says the artist, "one of my favorite activities, apart from painting, is shopping. Many people engage in shopping therapy, buying things with "their hearts" that will "fill" their hearts. "However, the after taste", she notes, "is a mixed and confusing sensation, like the pattern that comprised her inspiration.

Rena Andritsis has studied civil engineering. She is involved with painting, hagiography and photography.

Placed transversely on the vertical axis of the black and white metallic heart, which is covered by a thick mesh of successive painted geometrical patterns that create an automatic writing, a painted ladder leads to a second smaller heart, painted red, and from there leads to the sky. The small winged heart, which seems like being detracted as a shape and size from the main body of the bigger heart, symbolizes the love and romance that offers us wings. The bigger heart records the history, the internal trip and the continuous effort for the conquest of love.

Antonis Apergis was born in Athens in 1938. He studied painting and engraving in the school of Fine Arts in Athens (1957-1962) with G. Moralis and K. Grammatopoulos as his teachers. He continued his studies in fresco and mosaic in Ecole Superieure des Beaux-Arts (1966-1969) in Paris with teachers R. Licata and Berthole. He has presented his work in solo and group exhibitions in Greece and abroad.

Five painters of Galerie Zygos collaborate for a unique, creative project: in the surface of a fibreglass heart their inspirations meet at the same time, creating an ideal field for artistic expression and communication. John E. Baskakis was born in Athens in 1942 and is working with mosaic since 1955. He mostly works with small, handmaid mosaic from marble and tile. He has done 4 solo exhibitions in Athens (Athens College) and Nafplion.

The natural colors that the artist selected for his sculpture are the yellow of cadmium, the red of Windsor, the green of emeralds and the blue of ocean, all of which intensify and evoke the sculpture, while the background is complemented with red color on the one side and with the ice's beige and titanium on the other. Tita Bonatsou is an art photographer and director. She has done 17 exhibitions all over the world. She lives in Athens.

Born in Athens, Nikos Benos Palmer learnt the art of marble by living and working for 14 years in the island of Tinos, in the village Kardiani. For many years now, the heart constitutes an emblematic form of his work. He is currently working as a marble sculptor in his studio in Kapandriti. The mapping and recording of lighthouses in Greece is a parallel interest of the artist.

Olga Brouma was born on the 7th of January in 1982. She lives in Athens and studies at the School of Architecture N.T.U.A. She has previously participated in : Athens Video Art Festival '07 / Festival miden (Kalamata).

This heart is using the symbol of a disco-ball, which was a landmark in the 80's, in combination with the pop dancing music scene, that starts prevailing again today. The sculptured fiberglass disco-ball heart is transformed into a jewel for the city, reflecting colors and lights, aiming to reproduce and create a different viewing perspective for everyone's daily life.

Usually the work of Calliopi Stamatari has to do with emotions in an artistic way, through the use of archetypical symbols.

Maria Chatzitheodorou was born in Preveza, Greece. She has attended Design and Drawing lessons at the M.Chatzinikoli - Sarafianos workshop. At the same time she studied at the Doxiadis art school and followed painting courses at the Athens School of Fine Arts in the workshop of D.Mytaras. Her work has been presented in various solo and group exhibitions in Greece and abroad.

The first side of the fiberglass sculpture is completely covered with pieces - keys from old pc keyboards that create words, while at the upper side there is a handgrip with a painted golden zipper. The other side is decorated with painted buttons on the right corner, while the rest area is blank, inviting people to express themselves by writing on it. A plexiglass box full of writing tools for common use is incorporated on the sculpture's base. The first side expresses the standard and certified part of human existence. While the other side, represents a free heart that is interactive and willing to accept the color palette of our emotional world. The whole sum represents a heart that combines the different aspects and expectations of contemporary humans.

Stefanos Chandelis was born in Athens in 1969. He graduated from the School of Fine Arts in 1994. He has shown his work in solo and group exhibitions. He lives and works in Athens.

His sculpture is transformed into a self-repairing surface; realistic painted human figures - workers, stand on scaffolds and repair the surface of the heart. It is a fact that some hearts, sometimes, need repairs and the artist rushes to repair his own.

Tasos Chonias was born in 1974 in Athens. He has participated as a painter in important group exhibitions, while he recently showed his work in a solo exhibition in 'AGATHI'. Several of his works belong to collections in Greece and abroad.

The painted metallic sculpture "Light inside the heart", skillfully leads to the illusion of an internal space belonging into a different, third dimension: the blinding light that invades diagonally through the open window explores the texture of matter and converses with the shadows in a poetic exploration, where the main role is played by the process of painting.

Born in Athens, in 1969, she studied Molecular Biology at Kingston University (1988-1991) and then went on to postgraduate studies at City University, England (1991-1993). She studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts (1998-2003) in the First Studio under D. Mytaras. She has shown her work in four solo exhibitions (Selini Gallery, Skoufa Gallery, Gallery CK in Cyprus and Gallery PERIPLE in Brussels) and has taken part in many group exhibitions (including Once upon a time there was Penelope Delta, Athens College, 2006). One of her works formed part of the Athens Cowparade 2006. Her works have been acquired by major private collections.

Nikos Kiourtsis was born in Frankfurt in 1963. During 1983-1990 he studied in the School of Art of Athens in the painting laboratory of the famous Greek painter Nikos Kessanlis, where he graduated with an "A". Between 1984 and 1995 he participated in exhibitions in Athens (personal, gallery "Nees Morfes", 1994), Piraeus and Salonica. Later he began to get involved in the art of mosaics. In 2001 he meets Petros Kassartzian and Yiannis Manetas and together they start experimenting with the art of mosaics.

Works of art on walls...Semi-precious stones in floors...Jewels on tables...Unique mosaic creations with a variety of rocks, semi-precious stones and metal used for decorating floors and walls or as table surfaces.

This metallic heart is transformed into a translucence mosaic with two sides, decorated with semiprecious stones (pink quartz, gold stones, jasper), natural rocks and epoxy resin. The expression of passion and the multidimensional dynamic of red were the main elements, which gave birth to the concept of the particular work.

Born in Athens, in 1964, she studied painting in Paris at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux Arts, where she was tutored by Leonardo Cremonini from 1984-1988. Efi Funck was born in Athens. She studied drawing, painting, sculpture and ceramics. She has exhibited in solo and in 70 group exhibitions.

Christos Garoufalis was born in 1959 in Agrinio. He has shown his work in 8 solo exhibitions and has participated in several group exhibitions. Several of his works belong to important public and private collections in Greece and abroad. Since 2003 he is the artistic director of the Artistic Workshop in Agrinio (Ministry of Culture). His prime intention is to indicate the Greek tradition, condensed in symbols, and to keep the memory of the rhythm, of the moral and of the values of an era that is passing or has already passed.

Nikolaos Gritzonas, Batis, was born in 1975 in Taskend, Uzbekistan. With studies in Fine Arts Academy of Belorussia (1992-1998). Already famous with his participation on the Christmas bottle collection of water "IOLI" and creation sculpture-tree on the Roof garden of HILTON 2007.

According to the artist, he creates art "through his loud inner thoughts". He uses mirrors to cover - uncover the bodies of the spectators, who embrace these sounds, presenting glances of the area and various patterns with successive layers of plastic and mirrors. The persistent decomposition and reformulation, the destruction and creation, overlap between the patterns and recreate his initial though; finding application on new patterns that, if were to be seen alone, would never remind us of the heartbeat. However, this subjective memory of the heart, as the artist concludes, "is the transfer of sensations into the sound, which creates rhythm in order to be heard".

Ellie Griva is an artist and lives in Athens. She studied painting in the School of Fine Arts in Athens, where she was accepted first with scholarship. Throughout her work the Image and the Word play an equal role, since the one completes the other. She has shown her work in 7 solo exhibitions and has participated in several group exhibitions.

Her heart has the need to communicate, to yell and to declare "I want you", something that we all need to say and to hear. It is an interactive heart, since everyone can write a name on it. It is a living and pulsating heart, which under the impersonal face of the city, becomes a direct mean to simply express our love.

Giorgos Hadoulis was born in Athens in 1966. He studied Painting in Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux Arts in Paris (1984-92) in the workshop of Antonio Segui. He worked with Alecos Fassianos as an assistant stage designer in theatrical plays of the National Theatre of Greece and the Theatro Technis. He has shown his work in 8 solo exhibitions and has participated in several group exhibitions.

In his painting the summer swimmers, who are usually the favorite subject of the painter, are transforming into bright sea spots and happy voices by the children and the adult bathers. The fluid prompt lines and the transparent colors, reveal a sensitive and poetic rhythm with images hidden behind the seemingly coincidental, which balance between the abstraction and the plethoric, almost tangible, vividness.

The homeless fiberglass heart, wears worn and patched clothes made from various materials and is covered with a blanket. It lies down, being in contact with the ground, without a base, thus underlining the direct reference to homeless people. The artist, who actually makes a strong comment about a continuously expanding phenomenon in Athens and other major cities of the world, is aiming to activate the memory and sensitize the consciousness of people. The heart shape consolidates, as a natural presence, the humanitarian message of the artwork.

Irene Iliakopoulou studied in the German College of Graphic and Fine Arts (1980-83) and Painting with D. Mytaras and I. Dekoulakos in the School of Fine arts in Athens (1983-88). She has shown her work in 5 solo exhibitions (Olga Georgadea, Astrolavos, Zouboulaki, Ekfrasi-Yianna Grammatopoulou) and several group exhibitions. She has also been engaged with teaching painting to children and adults, and with illustrating children's book for the publishing houses Fytrakis, Patakis, and Ellinika Grammata.

The coal and soil build up the surface of this metallic heart, but leave enough space in the center for a small area with grass; directly referring to the recent fires, as well as to the hope for regeneration and restoration.

Irini Kana was born in Canea, Crete. She studies at the School of Fine Arts in Athens, in the studio of P. Tetsis. Her work has been shown in 12 solo exhibitions.

For her work 'For a little girl' the artist uses her characteristic style: a sense of smoothness and soft colors that are applied in thick layers go hand in hand with the recognizable symbols of the artist's personal world: balloons, little trains and ribbons are part of a colourful fairytale that speaks to the viewers, young and old, with 'the language of the heart'. The initial inspiration of Irini Kana was a little girl, Marianna. The artist dedicates her work to all the children of the world.

Lisa Kandylidi has worked the pebble-stone technique for several years, using it in various architectural applications and sizes. Her works are in private spaces mainly in the Cyclades islands where she spends quite a lot of her time.

I have worked for several years as a pebble-stone artist. My love for stones led me to chose for the construction of the heart, the most precious of all stones, the diamond in 2 aspects. A diamond is luminous, clear, imperishable, the symbol of perfection and brightness.

The artist used a unique pebble's technique, which resulted in the selection of the diamond as the subject of the sculptured heart: the imperishable, clean diamond, the most valuable and bright of the stones, is the symbol of brightness and perfection.

Lazaros Konstantinidis was educated at the Maraslios Pedagogical Academy of Athens, and the Athens School of Fine Arts. He completed his "Master of Fine Arts" with Distinction at the Academy of Art College, San Francisco, and he received his "Doctor of Philosophy" at the University of Wales, followed by Postgraduate Research in Paintingat Hochschule der Kunste, Berlin.

He has held solo shows each one being unique and specific in its concept in the United States, Germany, U.K. and Greece, he has also exhibited extensively in a number of group shows across Greece, Europe and the United States. His work is held in private collections all over the world.

Behind FEEL, there are modern neo-pragmatic trends combined with expressionistic characters and types of the visual and abstract surrealism. The vivid red colors and the bold white fonts, which the artist selected to externalize and underline his feelings, are expressed ideally on the convex surface of the fiberglass heart.

Eva Koliopantou, with her distinct style that is focused on human-centered art, creates a flying cupid of love with dynamic and turbulent lines, and decorates it with dark models that remind the classical antiquities, while with the addition of bright, optimistic colors, she's creating a personal imagery, where the classical converses with the modern. A heart made of grass is growing inside a flowerpot, aiming to be incorporated with the urban net and commence a discussion between the physical and technical environment concerning the perspective of a "green" city. The concept of a giant potter flowerpot full of soil, which supports the tree-heart, is nothing more than a scale "game" that expands over the patterns, the colors and the emotions

Aphrodite Litti studied Sculpting and Mosaic in the School of Fine Arts in Athens, while she continued her studies in the University of Milan in Italy and in the School of Fine Arts in Athens (degree in the art of fresco and portable image). In 1979 she took the position of museum sculptor in the National Archaeological Museum of Athens, while then she continued with post-graduate studies in the University of London. Since 1999 she teaches sculpting in the School of Fine Arts in Athens. She has received several honorary awards. She has shown her work in many solo and group exhibitions (Alexandria Biennial, Configura 2, Erfurt, Γερμανία, Antiken Museum, Βασιλεία, Ελβετία, Salon Montrouse, Παρίσι, Γαλλία, RCA Collection, Athina, DESTE, United Nations - New York etc.). Several of her works belong in Museums and important private collections.

Painter and sculptor Aggeliki Makri studied in Doxiadis School. She lived and worked in the USA and in Edinburgh for several years. She worked in the field of children's book illustration, and then in the fields of painting and sculpting using clay, her favourite material.

The starting point for this sculpture was the creator's need to offer color and joy to the city of Athens, which according to the artist "has started becoming dangerously gray". For the needs of her work, Aggeliki Makri mainly used intense colors and her recognizable figures (dancers), which she placed inside the heart's plastic form.

George Malekakis was born in 1969 in Athens, Greece where he currently lives and works. He studied Economics, but he has been involved in photography since 1990. He is a professional fashion photographer since 1995 with collaborations in Greece and abroad. Travelling, martial arts and his personal photography projects are his hobbies.

This metallic heart is transformed into an evidence of love, since it depicts the erotic "discussion" between human fingerprints. The fingerprints are used by the artist as symbols of particularity, uniqueness and authenticity. The deposit of the human uniqueness in love and the designation of love between two people through the power of particularity, as well as the dynamic deposit of the complete presence of two persons in love, are impressed on this sculpture with a minimal, but at the same time complete, way

Katerina-Christina Manolakou studied Painting (5 years studies) in Athens School of Fine Art with the professor Nikos Kessanlis. She continued her studies in a two years master in the theatre design, at the Slade School of Fine Art, University College London (UCL) with the professor Philip Prowse. She lives and works in Athens.

"The image that got into my mind when I started thinking about the heart I would create", writes the artist, "is the well known traditional and widely used image of the lovelorn heart, which is depicted as being wounded by an arrow"

Dimitris Moustroufis is a graduate of the American College of Psychico. His goal is to study architecture in the USA.

Each work, irrespectively of its uniqueness, needs a "place" to breath and stand. Thus, around this sculptured heart, the artist creates an ideal environment that is a part of his conjectural proposal

Christos Palamidis teaches theatre scene-painting in Fine Arts School of Athens since 2007. He exhibits his paintings in galleries and he collaborates with theaters as well.

The main idea of this sculpture is the placement of a self relative childish figure inside a "cave-forest", which the fiberglass sculpture represents. In art, the cave, as well as the forest, symbolizes shelter and security. For the artist, they represent personal, peaceful and introspective areas.

Elena Papadimitriou was born in 1971 in Athens. She studied in the Vakalo school (1989-1990) and in the School of Fine Arts in Athens (1991-1996). She has shown her work in major group exhibitions and has painted the stage of several theatrical plays. In May 2008 she will have her first solo exhibition in 'Astrolavos' in Athens. Several of her works belong to private collections.

Using her characteristic and extremely original and laborious style, the painter "dresses" the sculpture with elaborated patterns, using drawing colors and gold leaves, while an ethereal female figure complements the creation. The most valuable thing we have to offer, our heart, and the most valuable things that we have accepted - the heart of the one we love, are transformed by the artist into a valuable surface, literally and symbolically

Smaragda Panagiotarou studied illustration and art history in Rhode Island School of Design in the USA. She continued her studies in Parsons School of Design in New York, where she was awarded the title Designer of the Year. She was hired as the first western designer in the design team of Issey Miyake in Tokyo, Japan, where she stayed for 5 years. When she returned to Greece, her permanent collaboration with the company Folli Follie begun.

The artist's idea was inspired by her desire to create a magnified jewel, giving the impression of a shiny mirror and silver ornament

Kostis Papadopoulos studied Fine Arts in Athens and Paris. He has participated in exhibitions collectively and on his own.

The objective of this metallic sculpture is the exploration of the multidimensional relationship between man and the machine.

Thanasis Papatheodorou is an architect-civil engineer and he is engaged in private construct projects. He participated in several art exhibits. He also participated in 'Cow parade Athens 2006" in Kotzia Square with the sculpture "Cowlias".

The life of Vassilia Paraskeva, just like her sculpture, has two sides: the first one is connected to the Law School of Athens, but the second one, the one of the heart, led her towards creation, through the design of sartorial accessories with experimental, surprising materials.

For the artist heart means life. Life means choice and, at the same time, to dare complete your life's circle by choosing in the end an attitude towards life that is full of energy, light, smile and breathe. The "heart-energy-life" has two implicit sides and represents our own existence's dialectic, concerning our selections that have to do with our own "individual personality". One side is in fact a "nursery", while the other is transformed into a burned forest. The selection between the two sides is a personal story that surely concerns everyone.

Benoit Pare was born in Paris in 1961. He lives in Athens since 1986.
Following his initial studies in Paris, he studied painting under N. Kessanlis and engraving under Th. Exarhopoulos at the Athens School of Fine Arts (1987-1992) and graduated with honours (Excellent, 30/30).

Philippos Photiadis studied architecture in the U.S.A., at the Rhode Island School of Design (B.F.'93, B.Arch.'94) and Harvard Graduate School of Design (M.Arch.'98). He has shown his watercolours and sketches in three solo exhibitions (2004-2007) and has participated in several group exhibitions.

Using common and soulless symbols, such as the deck of card's symbols, the artist negotiates with the meaning of love: our need for love, the constant deficiency οf love, as well as the gap that rises from an ambiguous relationship. The queen is disappointed because the frog didn't turn into a prince or feels sorry for him because he remains a frog. The king and queen are flirting or are separated. The elliptic shape of the heart intensifies the game of contradiction.

Kostas Psonis at first studied Technology Engineer. He began his professional career as a cartoonist and then he studied graphic, marketing and advertising. He directs the creative advertising office called "CONCEPO/PUBLISHING-ADVERTISING".

The heart is included inside a correspondence envelope, tied like a gift, with a ribbon decorated with the flags of various countries and a dispatcher, with the respective stamp from Athens, who sends a message of love and hospitality to her foreign visitors, both to the occasional visitors and to the economical emigrants.

This is a symbolical representation of a gray city, where a serum has been placed but the blood instead of red is green, and could potentially flow through the heart's arteries. According to the artist, "the city is in urgent need of an environmental intervention, in order to be able to continue offering life to its habitants".

This sculptured heart is transformed into the external door of a prison's cell, where the window is a mirror; thus anyone who approaches the heart will be able to see his own reflection and feel like he is also imprisoned. The message of this sculpture is referring to the perpetuity game that prevails in the personal relationships between different people.

This fiberglass heart was inspired by the old Eagles' song HOTEL CALIFORNIA ("you can check out anytime you like…but you can never leave") and symbolizes the man or woman who discovers and enjoys a unique and magical love, which appears only once in our lives - and that only if we are lucky. It is the kind of love that can be accommodated inside our hearts (the HEART HOTEL) and will offer unique moments and memories. Perhaps someday it might disappear from our life ("you can check out any time you like"), but it will definitely remain carved inside our heart forever ("but you can never leave"...).

Someone once said that "whoever said money cannot buy happiness, just didn't know where he could shop for it!". The "I love shopping" heart is inspired by the above quote. It is a fact that when we shop we feel a sense of euphoria and happiness when we offer something we want to ourselves or the others. The bright colors that the artist has used represent this positive side of shopping...

Since diamonds are forever, the same stands for the promises they make. The everlasting love is the hope, which lies behind the tender declaration of love that is carved on Karolina Rovithis' ring: YES, FOREVER!, ...

Valassia Salamastraki is a graphic designer who lives and works in Rhodes. According to her opinion the everyday routine of work is a continuous need for creation. A creation for something different and new.

A sitting woman imprinted in great scale, watches inexpressively the toy train that is coming, symbolizing the revolution of technology and the simultaneous arrival of loneliness. The futuristic drawings of the artist incorporate elements from the contemporary Japanese animation art and the art of graffiti; the monotony of black and white in the first level is interrupted by the appearance of a colorful world in the second level, reminding us that "life can be really beautiful".

Spiros Soulis was born in Athens, Greece. He has lived in London for ten years, during which he completed his graduate and postgraduate studies in architecture and worked for the renowned architect lord Norman Foster. He has participated in various architectural projects in major cities. Returning to Greece, he introduced the first decoration and renovation show on Greek television, and since 2005 he is hosting the show "ALLAXE TO" - "CHANGE IT", broadcasted by ALPHA Network.

His heart is a heart full of colors; the most colorful, happy and lively heart in the world, a heart capable of painting the whole world!

It is surrounded by hundreds of brushes, fixed onto the heart and plunged into bright colors. It is a heart that invites the spectator to take one of the brushes and paint his own heart and world…since the "Color stems from our heart"!

Petros Stathis was born in Athens in 1973. From an early stage, he got involved with drawing and angiography through his studies in art works conservation and angiography having important personalities as teachers, such as Alexis Georgis and Kostas Georgakopoulos, but also monks. Having as a mentor the painter Markos Kabanis, he also specialized in gravure from original works of the 16th-19th century. At the same time he worked with applied painting, experimenting with different techniques such as batik, portable image, and fresco. His work has been shown to several exhibitions, while some of it also belongs to private collections.

Petros Stathis' particular love for anything that resembles the sea is expanded into anything that relates with the meaning of love. Besides, according to the artist, the meanings of both love and the sea are totally linked and compatible. Thus, this plumed heart that is trying to get away, maybe in reality just wants to get caught on the hook.

Maria Stathi-Soto was born in Athens. She started studying music and saxophone, continuing for two years in Barcelona. She, then, went on to study Graphic Arts in AKTO graduating with honours. She works as a graphic designer in a private company.

T-Shirts have the power to declare anything with few and straight words. The slogan «BORN IN ATHENS» is conveniently placed on the fiberglass heart's T-Shirt, and is adopted by the artist who desires to declare that all the citizens of Athens "can have an Athenian heart no matter what their color is". The face of a small girl with African characteristics on the one side is complemented by the image of Acropolis on the other side.

Marina Stellatou studied in Athens School of Fine Arts 2002-2006. Scholarship Erasmus Academie Royalle de Beaux Arts 2004-2005 (Brussels). Graduate of Athens University department of Theology. Participated in painting exhibitions. Personal exhibition in 2004.

Since committing to her career as a Jewelry & Accessories designer, Elena has received much acclaim. Apart from her innovative exhibitions is Art Galleries, many leading international corporations such as Levi's, Cosmote (the leading Greek mobile phone provider), Clinique, Lacoste, Absolut Vodka, have requested that she customize or create an item inspired by their brand. Her product inspired by Absolut Vodka, the 'Absolut Love' bag, was featured in a national advertising campaign. Elena has also styled and designed accessories & jewelry for various Greek theatrical and film productions such as the musicals 'VICTOR VICTORIA' & 'THE KING AND I' with Mimi Denissi, Greece's leading lady, 'A NEW RED' with Kariofilia Karabeti and the cult film 'RISSOTO' by leading Greek film director and screenplay writer, Olga Malea. Elena has a substantial celebrity following with clients such as Greece's most famous singer, Anna Vissi, for whom she also created items for behalf of Vissi's sponsor, Cosmote, for her performance and video for the Eurovision 2006. Manolis Tsagarakis was born in Heraclion, Crete in 1969. He studied Painting in Athens Superior School of Fine Arts 1990-1996. , in Academie-Minerva in Groningen, and in Holland in the field of engraving (1996). He has accomplished 3 solo exhibitions: Busch'Gallery 1998, Agathi Gallery 2004 and 2007, Athens. He has participated in many team exhibitions. He lives and works in Athens.

His work is a cardiogram in free translation, which by covering the whole surface of fiberglass, connects its rhythm with an abstract linear design of the Parthenon, transferring a symbolic message; that "the heart of Athens, beats in Acropolis".

Chrissa Tsovili was born in 1977 in Athens. She graduated with honors from the School of Fine Arts in Thessalonica (dep.of painting -studio of Makis Theofylaktopoulos). By 2005 she completed her postgraduate studies in the School of Fine Arts of Brussels "La Cambre", in the department of photography. She has presented her work in Thessaloniki, in Athens in Brussels and in Milano. Regarding her work the transcendental, dream-like and subconscious are meanings which preoccupy the artist. Mythological symbols and fairytales are references from which she derives inspiration for her artistic expression.

The transcendent, the unreal and the subconscious are the meanings that occupy the artists' mind, who expresses her personal conjectural explorations through mythological and symbolical elements. Mina Papatheodorou-Valyraki was born in Athens, Greece. She graduated from the Athens School of Fine Arts of the NTUA with distinction in 1981. She continued her postgraduate studies at the University of Florence, receiving her Ph.D. in 1986. Her works are exhibited at the National Gallery of Greece, the Vorres Museum, the Rooftile and Brickworks Museum of the Piraeus Bank, the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington (U.S.A.), the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, the Museum of Barcelona, the ASAMA Sport Art Museum in Alabama, the Automobili Lamborghini Museum in Modena, the United Nations Building in New York, the Jean Todt - Ferrari Museum, Shakhir Tower in Bahrain and in private collections in Greece and overseas.
